Avid Made Easy is an interesting read for new non-linear editing and non-Avid system in particular. The author, Jamie Fowler, prepares you with the history of Avid NLE and before your first exercise. However torward end of the book is its practice exercise unfinished, clean, despite earlier promises by the author to it. The installation CD is in the business a little confusing. It is best to download and install Avid Free DV, Avid’s website, then follow the instructions in the book for the installation of perception and the associated files from the CD companion. Aside from the Avid Made Easy is a great tool for learning the basics of Avid editing system. Rating: 4 / 5
