It is great book – simple enough to provide a good overview of making videos and detailed enough to help you understand the required technologies. It really is an excellent book and I highly recommend it to new video makers. I also use the book after I go “shopping” for equipment or software to see how it fits with the concepts put forward in the book. It has been a real help in making me a more thoughtful buyer as well as a better video maker. The book covers how to take good video shots, the equipment necessary to interface with your computer, and the software to edit your movies. All the information you need to get a quick start is in this book.
