This adapter addresses accuratey one of the two drawdacks the HDR-FX7. The fixed mounting on the lens and the unbalanced external audio inputs. In 0 8x maginification adapter give me enough to have wider and without significant distortion (s) or loss. It’s quick and easy to handle and store, but the original “kill box” / CAP should be eliminated and should not be connected to the adapter (even if it were true) to a point.
